| Opaque dark crimson red colour with crimson mauve hue. The nose displays perfumed aromas of raspberry, blackberry and dark cherry followed by some spice and meaty earth like notes. Medium weight and slightly drier than many of the other 2007 Cotes du Rhone’s that we’ve tasted. The palate exhibits flavours of dark cherry, spice, plum and earthy leather like characters. Dry, slightly chalky tannins but in balance. Aftertaste of dark cherry, spice and earth. |
