| This Heathcote Shiraz includes a 5% Viognier component which accounts for the permed nature of the nose. Maturation took place in a combination of French and American oak barriques for 10 months. Deep near opaque dark crimson mauve colour with crimson mauve hue. Perfumed aromas of dark plum, cherry and violets followed by some spicy cedar end notes. Medium weight, the palate displays elegant flavours of dark plum, spice and cedar followed by a touch of earth. Fine grained tannins. Dry finish with aftertaste of plum, cedar and spice. |
