2006 TROLL CREEK SHIRAZ
Produced from 60 year old vines, this wine was matured for 30 months in 20% new French oak, 10% new American oak and the remainder in seasoned French oak. Opaque black dark red colour with deep dark brick red hue. The nose displays aromas of dark chocolate, ripe blackberry and dark plum followed by some confectionary end notes showing good intensity. Full bodied with voluptuous ripe flavours of dark chocolate, dark plum, vanilla and confectionary followed by some spice on the back palate. Very fine grained velvet like tannins with long aftertaste of dark chocolate, mocha, confectionary and spice.
