| A blend of 92% Shiraz and 8% Viognier which were co-fermented. Maturation took place in French barriques, of which 60% were new, for a period of 18 months. Deep dark red colour with dark red mauve hue. Lifted aromas of plum. liquorice, toast and dried apricot with a hint of spice as an end note. Medium to full bodied with relatively generous flavours of dark plum, spice, liquorice allsorts, toast and a hint of apricot. Slightly chalky dryish tannins with aftertaste of liquorice allsorts, spice and toast. |
