2008 YALUMBA EDEN VALLEY VIOGNIER
Fermented and matured for 10 months in older French oak barriques and hogsheads. Bright straw colour with slight greenish tinge and water like hue. The nose displays subtle aromas of dried apricots, lychee and honeysuckle. The palate possesses good weight and mouthfeel with exotic flavours of apricots and honeysuckle followed by some tropical fruits with a spicy back palate. Clean dry finish with aftertaste of dried apricots, honeysuckle and spice. Whilst displaying greater concentration and a more textural mouthfeel than the Y Series Viognier, the nose of the Eden Valley Viognier is more subdued.
