2007 PENFOLDS BIN 407 CABERNET SAUVIGNON
This wine was matured for 13 months in French and American hogsheads, one third new with the balance in older oak. Opaque black dark red colour with dark crimson red hue. The nose displays aromas of ripe blackcurrant, cedar, spice and liquorice bullets followed by some confectionary end notes. Full bodied palate with generous ripe blackcurrant and dark chocolate flavours followed by cedar, liquorice and spice but lacking some persistence. Firm slightly dryish grippy tannins that will integrate with time. Aftertaste of blackcurrant, cedar and spice.
