2008 PENFOLDS BIN 138 SHIRAZ MOURVEDRE GRENACHE
A blend of 42% Shiraz, 30% Mourvedre and 28% Grenache this wine was matured in seasoned American oak for 15 months. Excellent dark red purple colour with dark red mauve hue. Lifted aromas of ripe raspberry, black plum, liquorice and spice. Medium to full bodied palate with flavours of ripe plum, blackberry, liquorice and confectionary followed by some blackpepper on the back palate. Fine grained tannins with spicy liquorice and blackpepper aftertaste.
